I've always been partial to the "I love NY" t-shirts, or a statuette of lady liberty, but...I would have them find a pub that you're not likely to ever get to visit, and get you a shirt or sweatshirt of a local beer/libation. Then again,I'm kind of a dork, so you might not want to listen to what I have to say.
