Sunny side up

In addition to being the year of the mullet, it's also the year for improving oneself. Porter says he'd like to see more action less talk, my brother says be a nicer, friendlier person, and my personal trainer says, well, do something, anything.

Checked out the new Racine's with laloque's trophy bf today. So, with all of that "positivism" in mind, I really liked the ceiling. The whole thing, the barrel design and the wood finish. Very nice. I also liked the lighting. Each section has it's own lighting "theme". One area has a bunch of the lights from the old racine's, one some mid century styling woven circles, another an ultra modern look, etc. Very nice. We both were initially concerned by all the surveillance cameras hanging from the ceiling, but were acquiesced by the waiter who explained they were actually speakers, "they bounce the sound off the ceiling". You'll have to decide if that's true for yourself.
There's a weird feeling of deja vu of the old racine's with the raised back section, familiar chairs and center bar - not to mention the 3 primary clientele types, violet crowd, slightly odd crowd, and the old.

Somebody please tell me where to eat breakfast in Denver...

So...which of the primary clientele do you belong in?

dozens on 13th.

and if that doesn't suit you, there's a little irish place that makes the best sausage muffins. it's called mcdonald's (mickey dee's to friends), and it's conveniently located throughout the denver metro area.

My favorite is probably the Eggshell on 3rd and Josephine in Cherry Creek. Dixon's in LoDo has a very good, although more expensive breakfast. The Breakfast Inn on Evans and Monaco is also good. If you want amusing people-watching and salty wait-staff, there's always Pete's on Colfax. If you want amusing people-watching and wait-staff who blanch if you say the word 'Bacon', Watercourse on 13th and Sherman is good.

And I'm up for any of those places any time this week...
