A question of etiquette...

When, in conversation, is it ok to refer to someone in the 3rd person when they're standing right there?

When Mark refers to others in the third person, he should only do so when giving an anecdote of some kind. One time, when Chris was speaking to Sellers, he said, "What is Aaron doing!!!" Is it proper to use emoticons on answers to questions of etiquette? :-)
