Futureheads on Monday. It was like the nerdy hipster underbelly gathered. All the pretty hipsters were at Rilo Kiley I guess. Not sure I was in the mood for the show. Bright lights though. Complete with warning. They had energy and were having fun though - and that's key.
Then Spoon...a really solid band for sure. Packed crowd, with some die-hard spoon fans. I mean die hard. Every word singing along, almost crying after each song die hard (was that you spanish eddie??). They're good, just not exciting - you know?
Tomorrow night Heartless Bastards at the beckman's recommendation...should be interesting...
no, i only own one of their albums and i don't have any of their songs memorized. i like that song "the way we get by".
but i agree: good, not too exciting. julie (clove girl) said she saw you but when i looked i didn't see you. obvs.
