Keane

Unfortunately, I missed the French Kicks opener - had to come straight from the airport.
Keane is kind of prog rock, reminded me a bit of Ultravox. They had a "rock and roll" stage presence with mellow music. Kind of odd. I bet fans of Coldplay love them.

"Odd" bad or "odd" good? They are pretty big out here especially for newbies. Lots of radio play on the BBC. Yup, Coldplay fans do like them a lot. I haven't seen them yet and was pretty jealous when I saw that they were playing in Denver.

Oh, forgot. I'll be interested to hear what you think of Snow Patrol. They're big out here too.

The "odd" bit was mostly in reference to the discordance between the music and their presence. Mellow music, "rock" stage moves. As for the music, it's good, the singer has a good voice - just not really my cup of tea.
I think Snow Patrol will be interesting too...see concert list on right side...
