Supposed to be an easy project... Big hole in the front room uh, hello? Ran some gas line, electrical, and did some framing

Close up of gas line - working in the crawl space below the house was no fun at all... cement piers to hold 4x4's to hold joists... OSB for the floor Doc Ock arms for the venting and a possible brick configuration

Concrete in the back for the fireplace to rest on A gas fire! Detail of brick & grout. The bricks were encased in concrete when I bought the house, so each one had to be removed and cleaned. They're worn but character....
